It can be done quickly and easily, thanks to our experienced staff.  They’ll guide you through the entire process, from the initial quote to a follow-up phone call to ensure you’re satisfied with the end product. Here’s what you can expect when working with Granite Fabricator Direct:

STEP 1

Request a Quote

We will ask you a number of questions with regards to your kitchen granite Countertop Project:

  • What are the colors of your cabinets and appliances
  • Will you be purchasing new appliances, faucets, or sinks for the project?
  • When do you need the project to be completed?
  • Do you know how much granite you need? How many square feet of countertops does your kitchen project require?
  • What kind of a budget have you set for the countertops project?
  • What are you doing for a back splash? Tile or matching slabs?
STEP 2

Visit the Showroom

In addition, we also have 20 interchangeable tile backsplashes that may be integrated into your design. While here, you may view full slabs from our inventory of over 1,800. These included a wide variety of classic and exotic colors. Please bring a detailed sketch showing all measurements, include where the sink, dishwater, range/cooktops, refrigerator, and windows are located. Please indicate walls, open edges that require a finished edge. Please bring photos, color swathes, drawer fronts and floor tile.

STEP 3

Once you’ve decided on your granite color and specific slabs we will review the contract with you in detail. Any questions or scheduling accommodations can be addressed at this time. Once complete we will schedule the template, slabs layout date and we can discuss a tentative date for your installation (usually 7-10 business days later). Custom fabrication takes 7-10 business day from approval of template & slab layout.

STEP 4

Template Appointment

We are able to schedule one of our installation crews to come to your home for the template appointment for your new stone countertop within a couple of days of contract. The template will take only a couple of hours in most cases. It is an exact model of how your stone tops will be fabricated. At this time you may make final decisions on a number of minor installation and fabrication parameters. Existing condition and any special circumstances are discussed during this process.

STEP 5

Slab Layout Appointment

This is the second most important part of the process, especially if your stone selection has varied color patterns or a lot of movement in the pattern. After the template is brought back to the shop, we will ask you to come back in to help with this step. With your input we will lay the templates out on your actual slabs to insure that we get just the right look for your installation.

STEP 6

Installation Appointment

Normally the removal of old countertops can be done on the same day of installation for your convenience. When we install the new granite countertops, we attached the new under mount sinks and place the new cooktop and faucet in place. This usually takes about 4-6 hours or less. Installation of your new tile backsplash, hooking up your plumbing and gas lines may be hooked back up on the following morning to give the sink and the seams a chance to set, next is for you to admire and enjoy your new beautiful and easy to care for granite countertops.
